1) National Statistics Day is celebrated in our college today (June-29) to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Father of Indian Statistics Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis. On this occasion, Shri. R.M. Sarvade addressed the students about the importance of Statistics. Chief guest Shri. R. S Godbole, enlightened the students about Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis and his notable contribution in the field of Statistics. Shri. M.A.Siddanti and Shri R.V.Kulkarni while addressing the Students emphasised on the key role Statistics plays and shared their invaluable knowledge through constructive inputs. 2) Inauguration of The Scholar Program by Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement(SVYM) in association with Shantesh Education Society. The Scholar Program is a wonderful initiative by SVYM to support the education of students from rural background belonging to socio-economically backward class. SVYM team identified and selected students through rigorous selection process that included entrance examination, student interviews and home visits of every student. To support this initiative, Our college has given admission to 30 meritorious students selected by SVYM for PUC-1. We are happy and proud to contribute to this noble cause and extend our helping hand to SVYM in funding for the education of these students to complete their PU course from our college. Wishing the Students all the success. Also, in addition to this, SVYM will be funding the higher education of 10 students from our college. Chief guests for the function Shri.
